The Multi-Media Process
This site represents the visual side of the multi-media story. Special moments for my family and friends and occurrences viewed and depicted through Painting or Drawing. The primary Media used throughout my life had been oils and then acrylic. Recently, I have experimented by drawing digitally (Adobe Illustrator and Procreate as primary tools). Once my drawing is complete (and it may never be), I may print the full or a portion of the piece on different materials (Canvas, Wood, Metal, Acrylic Glass or Glass). When printing on canvas, I often continue the process by painting over portions, typically with acrylic to customize and enhance the piece.
The advantages of printing of different surfaces:
Canvas: Repainting base of work for more customization
Metal: paintings with high gloss and good for outdoor use.
Glass: See-through qualities changing the piece depending lighting.
Acrylic: Suttle see-through qualities, lighter and lower cost.
Back to using drawing tools. In the world of multimedia, Video and animation is also part of that world. Drawings are my first step in animation of pieces. Allowing flexibility, editing to have multiple pieces of the same work or continued series work in character building.
Art is a never ending quest by me to share experiences, special moments and truths found in our world as well as the simple extenstion of personal entertainment of creating works.
